Estimate Disclaimer
Effective 21 July 2026. PavingCalc gives planning estimates, not quotes. Every price on this site — from the calculator and from the guides — is a ballpark range to help you budget and compare. It is not a binding offer, and the real number comes from a contractor who has seen your site.
What an estimate is not
Our output is not, and must not be relied on as:
- A quote or bid. Only a contractor can price your job, and only after seeing it.
- A survey or measurement of record. Satellite tracing is a preliminary planning measurement, not a boundary or quantity survey.
- Engineering or a pavement design. Thickness, base, and drainage decisions for your site need a qualified local contractor or engineer.
- Legal, code, or permit advice. Requirements vary by state and municipality; confirm them locally before you build.
Why your real price will differ
A calculator cannot see the things that move a paving price the most: soil and drainage, the condition of any existing surface, slope, truck access, how far the nearest asphalt plant is, and local labor and permit costs. Two identical-looking driveways can price very differently for reasons that are invisible from above. Treat the estimate as a conversation starter, then get at least three itemized local bids on the same written scope — see how to hire a paving contractor.
National ranges vs. your market
Guide figures are national planning ranges and are deliberately wide; the calculator prices at working rates but still assumes typical conditions. Neither is calibrated to your ZIP code. How both are produced is explained on the methodology page.
No warranty and no liability
The site and its estimates are provided as-is, without warranty of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent the law allows, PavingCalc is not liable for money spent, contracts entered, or work commissioned in reliance on an estimate. Contractor routing
If you ask to be connected with a local pro, we route your request to a paving contractor in your area. We are not a party to any contract you sign with them, and we do not guarantee their work, licensing, pricing, or availability — vet any contractor yourself before hiring.
